Each year, members of the community of the Molecular Biology Institute community come together to explore the diverse array of intellectual pursuits that comprise modern molecular biology at UCLA. Student representatives from the Molecular Biology PhD program, the Cellular and Molecular Biology Training Program and the Cell-Biology Interface Training Program cultivate an interdisciplinary collaborative environment for intergenerational scientific engagement. The retreat features scientific presentations by MBI students and faculty and a keynote address from a distinguished guest speaker. It enables communal growth and development by incorporating a student poster session, career development panel and valuable time to socialize and network. The MBI Annual Retreat is an opportunity to experience all that the Molecular Biology Institute has to offer and develop innovative responses to our community’s needs.
The 2018 Annual Retreat will be at the Crowne Plaza Venture Beach on March 17 – 18, 2018. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Michael Snyder of Stanford University.
