Annual Postdoctoral
Recognition Awards
Sponsored by the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry
and the Molecular Biology Institute
In 1999, Nobel Laureate and founding MBI Director Paul D. Boyer, donated a portion of his nobel prize to recognize outstanding research contributions from Postdoctoral Fellows. Generous donations were also received from Mrs. Phyllis Parvin and the Parvin Foundation, Dr. James and Joan Peter, and Amgen Inc.
Each year, nominations of outstanding candidates are solicited and several are selected to receive awards for excellence in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology at UCLA. A ceremony and reception are held where the awards are presented to the fellows by their mentors and the award donors.
THE DEADLINE FOR 2008 NOMINATIONS WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN FEBRUARY
