appropriate departmental Chairs and the Director of
the UCLA DOE laboratory. Final authority for space allocation
rests with the Dean of Life Sciences and the Chancellor.
Boyer Hall space is designed to foster collegial interactions
that are interdepartmental and interdisciplinary and
that enhance scientific innovation on the UCLA campus.
Sharing of space and equipment is a priority.
Membership
Application:
Applications for Institute membership are reviewed twice
a year: April and October. Interested faculty should
request a membership application form from Bo Tendis
(168 Boyer Hall, x51018; botendis@mednet.ucla.edu).
The application form and a current CV, including current
and pending support and publications, is reviewed by
the Institute’s Membership Committee. Upon their
positive recommendation, a final vote is then taken
by the entire MBI membership.
